eBay backs Google over EU anti-trust concerns
Both companies are direct competitors in the online shopping business
Ebay's chief executive officer John Dahoe on Sunday gave his backing to Google's arguments against the European Union (EU) for its charges against the US giant for abusing its dominant market position, after a five-year investigation.

Both companies are direct competitors in the online shopping business, and have stated that Brussels does not understand the way people buy products online.

Donahoe pointed out that barriers were breaking down between different areas of online commerce, as reported by the Financial Times.
This statement comes days after the European Commision's Competition officials decided to formally charge Google with market abuse in web search, by leaving out rival shopping search engines from search results, allowing it to improperly achieve a 90% market share in Europe.
