Market overview: Burberry, IAG lead losses
1630:Close Defence groups were again to be seen towards the top of the leaderboard on Tuesday, after Turkey shot down a Russian fighter jey which had flown over its territory. That came alongside a bounce in shares of Glencore. IAG on the other hand was caught in the downdraft from easyJet´s decision to suspend flights to Sharmk el-Sheihk until 1 January. Burberry was weighed downby a cautious note out of analysts at Nomura. FTSE 100 down 28.26 points to 6,277.23.
1430: With the euro/dollar near its lowest levels of 2015 technical analysts are pointing to the fact that it is just atop the trendline which has been in place since 1995.
1400: Home prices Stateside rose by 0.61% month-on-month in September (consensus: 0.30%), easily outstripping the previous month´s rise of 0.11%, according to the Case Shiller 20-city home price index.
1332: US gross domestic product expanded at anannualised clip of 2.1% in the third quarter, a tenth of a percentage point morethan had been expected.
1254: Three-month copper futures are 0.5% higher to $4,511.75 per metric tonne on the LME. In parallel, front month Brent crude futures are moving higher by 2.2% to reach $45.84 per barrel in ICE trading.

1004: In testimony before the Treasury Select Committee, BoE chief economist Andrew Haldane says inflation and GDP forecasts are weighted to the downside.
0900: The IFO German business confidence index for November improved to a reading of 109.0 from 108.2 (consensus: 108.2).
0852: Stocks have started the morning weighed down by easyJet´s announcement that it had cancelled all flights to Sharm El-Sheikh until 6 January. The news is weighing on all tourism stocks, with the likes of IAG and TUI all lower. Compounding matters, a Russian SU-24 jet has been downed by Turkey. On the economic calendar, investors will be keeping a close eye on this afternoon´s US GDP release. FTSE 100 down 63.83 points to 6,241.66.
