Incontinence-associated dermatitis is when the skin becomes irritated and inflamed and if not treated could become swollen and blistered.
It is estimated to affect half of people with urinary or fecal incontinence, according to a clinical trial published in the Journal of Wound Ostomy & Continence Nursing.
Fiona Adam, vice president and general Manager, advanced wound care at ConvaTec, said: “Our Sensi-Care portfolio including our new incontinence wipes was developed to answer the specific needs of care providers and patients, providing advanced formulations and easy-to-use products to help clinicians lessen these risks.”
