EE, Huawei, Qualcomm successfully trial next generation 4G technology
EE, together with Huawei and Qualcomm, has successfully trialled the next generation of superheats 410Mbps 4G.
The trio mark a cooperative project between the UK, where EE is based, the US, home to Qualcomm, and China, courtesy of Huawei.
This new technology seeks to pacify consumers who are using their phones for ever more data-dense tasks.
EE will also increase its capacity with this latest project by pushing carrier aggregation to boost speeds.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 processor with integrated LTE-Advanced next generation modem was installed for use on the trial, which according to Huawei is now the first successful trial of this technology in Europe.
