Herve Falciani said in an interview with El Mundo, a Spanish publication, that he has information about other cases and that the information leaked to the media about the group's Swiss accounts are "only the tip of the iceberg".
"My work is still not done. We're not in a hurry. It's possible that at the end of the year, we'll have the opportunity to act," he said.
He added that his work to uncover issues at the bank had never been carried out alone and that he has always done everything "with the help of others".
In 2007, Falciani stole a cache of files that revealed the Swiss bank had enabled clients to evade tax. These were later obtained by French media and shared across the world, forcing HSBC to apologise for its "unacceptable" behaviour and pledge to make operations at the private arm more transparent.
