Synthomer confirms new CEO appointment
Polymers producer Synthomer PLC has confirmed that Calum MacLean will formally succeed Adrian Whitfield as the group chief executive on 22 January.

Whitfield will step down from the board on 22 January and leave the company, the group said in a statement.
"I am delighted to welcome Calum to the Board and look forward to working with him as he helps to take Synthomer into the next phase of its growth and development,” said group chairman Neil Johnson.
Synthomer added that David Blackwood, the group finance director, has stated he wishes to retire after seven years to firm but will remain in his role until his successor is found.
Synthomer shares were 0.90% up to 222.39p at 09:24 on Thursday.
