                               Additional Listing



Application has today been made to the London Stock Exchange for 38,125 ordinary
shares of 1p each in the Company ('Ordinary Shares') to be admitted to trading
on AIM. The Ordinary Shares are being issued pursuant to the exercise of share
options by an employee under the IQE Group Share Option Scheme. The Ordinary
Shares are issued at the following prices:

Admission of these Ordinary Shares is expected to become effective on 15 January
2008.

Following this issue the total number of Ordinary Shares in issue will be
431,043,197.
