Directors Long Term Incentive Plan 'LTIP' Award


IQE plc (AIM: IQE, "IQE", "the Group"), the leading global supplier of advanced
semiconductor wafer products and wafer services to the semiconductor industry,
has announced the following awards of nil cost share options under its Long Term
Incentive Plan


Dr A W Nelson, CEO                             1,662,500
Mr P Rasmussen, CFO                            1,050,000
Dr H R Williams, COO                           1,050,000


The vesting of these options can only occur between 1 January 2011 and 1 January
2018 and is subject to achieving specific EPS performance criteria. They are all
contained within the limits of IQE's current share option plans.
