                 Oriel Resources Plc ("Oriel" or the "Company")
                              Exercise of Options

Oriel Resources plc (AIM:ORI, TSX:ORL) announces that options over ordinary
shares of 1p each in the share capital of the Company under the Company's share
option scheme were exercised on 18 April 2008.


Details of the options exercised are as follows:

Number of options                      Exercise Price
  150,000                                   49p

Accordingly, application has been made for 150,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in
the Company, which will rank pari passu with existing ordinary shares, to be
admitted to trading on AIM. The admission is expected to occur on or about 25
April 2008. Following the exercise of these options the total issued capital of
the Company will be 639,723,213 ordinary shares.
