TOTAL VOTING RIGHTS UPDATE

In accordance with the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, Laird advises
that since 1 April 2008 its capital has increased by 147,944 ordinary shares
with voting rights.  Laird holds no ordinary shares in Treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Laird's ordinary shares is
177,534,804, which may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the
calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their
interest in, or a change to their interest in, Laird under the FSA's Disclosure
and Transparency Rules.
