                               DIRECTORATE CHANGE


The Board of A & J Mucklow Group plc announce the appointment of Stephen Gilmore
as a non-executive director with effect from 13 May.


Mr Gilmore (53), a qualified solicitor, was previously Senior Partner at Lee
Crowder until its merger with Cobbetts, where he was also a partner.


Mr Rupert Mucklow, Chairman of A & J Mucklow Group plc, said:


"I am delighted to welcome Stephen to the Board of Mucklows as an independent
non-executive director. His experience in the legal and property world will be
of great use to us."


There are no details to be disclosed in respect of Listing Rule 9.6.13R. Mr
Gilmore does not hold any shares in A & J Mucklow Group plc.
