M&G Equity Investment Trust P.L.C.

The results for the quarter ended 30 June 2008 .

In compliance with Listing Rule 15.5.1, the following is confirmed:

* the Company announced details of the net asset value of the Shares as at 12 noon on 30 June 2008; * the directors do not foresee, having made reasonable enquiries, that there will be any material difference between the information published on 30 June 2008, and that to be included in the forthcoming results announcement for the quarter ended 30 June 2008, subject only to movements in the price of the Shares which result from movements in the share price of those investments which comprise the Company's underlying portfolio. * there is no other unpublished information, which constitutes price sensitive information in respect of the Company's Shares. * the Company's portfolio contains three unquoted investments, representing 0.04% of gross assets.

In addition, it is confirmed that the Company calculates (and duly notifies such calculations) on a daily basis the net basis the net asset values of the Shares. These calculations of the net asset value of the Shares are prepared in accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice for Financial Statements of Investment Trusts issued by the Association of Investment Companies and applicable accounting standards.
