Thomas Cook Group plc announces that on 07 July 2008 it purchased 486,646 ordinary shares for cancellation. The highest price paid per share was 214.25 pence (excluding expenses) and the lowest price paid was 205.50 pence (excluding expenses).


As a result of these purchases Thomas Cook Group plc will purchase 544,733 ordinary shares in aggregate from Arcandor AG and KarstadtQuelle Freizeit GmbH at a price of 211.8 pence per share, which is the average price paid for the shares reported above.
