TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES


Close Brothers Group plc announces that it has today transferred 5,157 ordinary shares of 25 pence each from treasury to participants in its employee share plans. The transfer price was 436.32 pence.


Following the transfer of these shares, Close Brothers Group plc holds 1,406,590 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 147,976,334 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
