Total Voting Rights

In conformity with the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules the Company would like to notify the market of the following:

Afren plc's total issued share capital consists 442,474,226 of Ordinary Shares of 1p each  ("Ordinary Shares") with voting rights. No Ordinary Shares are held in treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Afren plc is 442,474,226.

The above figure (442,474,226 Ordinary Shares) may be used by shareholders as

the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are

required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Afren

plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
