DIRECTOR RESIGNATION

01 August 2008 - The Local Radio Company ("the Company") announces that Sonita Alleyne, a non-executive director, is stepping down from the Board effective from July 31st 2008.

Richard Wheatly, Chairman of the Company said "Sonita has been a member of our Board for over four years. Her support and guidance over this time has been very valuable to us, particularly as we have expanded the online side of our business"
