On 11 August 2008, the Company received notification, under the obligations imposed by Section DTR5 of the FSA's Disclosure & Transparency Rules, from Hong Leong Company (Malaysia) Berhad ("Hong Leong Co.") that, as at 7 August 2008, Hong Leong Co. had a notifiable interest in the voting rights attached to 87,198,565 Ordinary 13 8/9p shares representing 22.33% of the total voting rights in The Rank Group Plc.
Notes
The voting rights in the Shares are held by Asia Fountain Investment Company Limited ("AFI"). AFI is a controlled undertaking of Guoco Equity Assets Limited, which is a controlled undertaking of Guoco Group Limited ("GGL"). GGL is a controlled undertaking of GuoLine Overseas Limited which is a controlled undertaking of GuoLine Capital Assets Limited ("GCAL"). GCAL is a controlled undertaking of Hong Leong Company (Malaysia) Berhad.
