Transfer of Treasury Shares

ARM Holdings plc ("the Company") announces that on 26th August 2008, the following ordinary shares were transferred from treasury stock for the purposes of employees' share option scheme allotments

1,875 ordinary shares at 105.50 pence per share

46,337 ordinary shares at 70.00 pence per share

14,000 ordinary shares at 43.75 pence per share

59,200 ordinary shares at 47.00 pence per share

Following the above transfers of treasury stock, the Company held 81,060,307

ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) was 1,262,995,389.
