Notice of results and strategy presentation

The Carphone Warehouse Group PLC and Best Buy Co., Inc. are pleased to announce that they plan to host a day of presentations and store visits for investors and analysts on 14 October 2008 in Chicago.

The presentations are intended to provide strategic insight into and financial guidance for their new European venture, and to give a further update on the progress of Best Buy Mobile, the US mobile retailing concept. The store tours will allow investors to develop a greater understanding of how the Best Buy "big box" consumer electronics format has evolved and how it can translate to European markets, as well as highlighting the development of the Best Buy Mobile "store-within-a-store" concept.

Carphone Warehouse will postpone its second quarter trading statement from 8 October 2008 to 14 October 2008 to tie in with these presentations. The trading update, along with any material financial information contained within the presentations, will be released at 7am Chicago time (1pm UK time). The presentations will be available via webcast for those not attending in person. Guidelines on travel and logistics will be available from the IR teams at Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy.

As are result of the recent transaction, Carphone Warehouse is also changing the date of its interim results from 6 November 2008 to 18 November 2008.
