HBOS plc announces that on 29 August 2008 it transferred 84,392 shares out of Treasury for a consideration of 305.5 pence per share. These shares have been used to satisfy acquisitions made by participants in The HBOS plc Share Incentive Plan, an HM Revenue and Customs approved Share Incentive Plan.
Following the transfer, HBOS plc holds 1,842,909 of its ordinary shares in Treasury and has a total of 5,249,157,295 ordinary shares (excluding shares held in Treasury) in issue.
