Transfer of Treasury Shares

ARM Holdings plc ("the Company") announces that on 2nd and 3rd  September 2008, the following ordinary shares were transferred from treasury stock for the purposes of employees' share option scheme allotments

85,875 ordinary shares at 105.50 pence per share

625 ordinary shares at 94.75 pence per share

37,089 ordinary shares at 70.00 pence per share

17,871 ordinary shares at 49.00 pence per share

11,349 ordinary shares at 47.00 pence per share

14,930 ordinary shares at 43.75 pence per share

50,000 ordinary shares at 22.00 pence per share

Following the above transfers of treasury stock, the Company held 81,329,306

Ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) was 1,262,726,390.
