Cambridge UK, 26 September 2008: Abcam plc announces that in accordance with the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, the Company was notified on 25 September 2008 that, as at 25 September 2008, NW Brown Nominees Limited had an indirect interest in voting rights over 3,960,500 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company amounting to approximately 11.28% of the issued share capital of the Company.
