Total Voting Rights

In conformity with the Transparency Directive's transitional provision 6, the Company would like to notify the market of the following:

At the close of business on 30 September 2008, the Company's issued share capital consists of 1,158,801,112 Ordinary Shares of 5p each with one voting right per share. There are no shares held in treasury.

The total number of shares in the Company with voting rights is therefore 1,158,801,112.

The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculation by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
