Persimmon Plc ("the Company" )- Transfer of Shares held in Treasury


Persimmon Plc announces that on 7 October 2008 it transferred 584 Ordinary Shares held in Treasury to a participant in the Persimmon Plc Long Term Incentive Plan to satisfy the exercise of options at prices of £7.465 and £13.31 


Following this transfer the Company holds 2,406,018 Ordinary Shares of 10p each in Treasury and the Company's issued share capital is 300,185,413 Ordinary Shares (excluding Treasury Shares).
