ABERDEEN ASIAN SMALLER COMPANIES INVESTMENT TRUST PLC - SHARE BUY-BACK


On 8 October 2008, Aberdeen Asian Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC purchased in the market, 15,000 ordinary shares at 221.667 pence per share. These shares will be held in treasury. Following the transaction, the Company's share capital will comprise:
