CAPE LAMBERT IRON ORE LIMITED


Exercise of Options and Issue of Shares


Cape Lambert Iron Ore Limited ("the Company") (ASX: CFE, AIM: CLIO) has today issued and allotted 4,157,742 Ordinary Shares following the exercise of 4,157,742 ASX listed options of A$0.277 each.


Application to the London Stock Exchange has been made for these new Ordinary Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM ("Admission"). It is expected that Admission will become effective on 16 October 2008.


The new ordinary shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares of the Company.


Following the issue of these shares the Company has 488,211,834 fully paid ordinary shares in issue.
