Director Share Purchase

Notification of a transaction by a director discharging managerial responsibility in accordance with DTR 3.1.4R1(a).

Haynes Publishing Group P.L.C., the worldwide market leader in the production and sale of automotive and motorcycle repair manuals, announces that it has received notification from the following director who has purchased ordinary 20p shares in the company ("Ordinary Shares").

On 13th March 2009, Mr JH Haynes, OBE (Chairman) purchased 125,000 Ordinary Shares in the Company at 117p per share.  Following the purchase Mr JH Haynes is now interested in an aggregate 796,075 Ordinary Shares, representing approximately 10.8 per cent, of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company, of which 470,000 Ordinary Shares are registered in his name and 326,075 Ordinary Shares are registered in the name of his wife.
