Directorate Change
Associated British Foods plc ("the company") today announces that Galen Weston has decided to retire as a non-executive director at the conclusion of the next Annual General Meeting of shareholders, on 9 December 2011, after serving 47 years on the Board.
The company also announces the appointment of Emma Adamo as a non-executive director with effect from the end of the Annual General Meeting. Mrs Adamo is a director of Wittington Investments Limited and was educated at Stanford University and Insead in France. Mrs Adamo holds 466,234 shares in Associated British Foods plc.
Charles Sinclair, Chairman, said:
