LONDON (ShareCast) - Guy Buswell, chief executive of Business Post, more than doubled his stake in the company today as the parcel and mail delivery group posted strong second half results.

Buswell spent £150,000 on 34,325 shares for his Self Invested Personal Pension (SIPP) at 437p each, increasing his stake to 54,242 shares.

Stephen Glew, who will become the group’s finance director in June, and services director Alec Ross bought too, spending £34,650 and £24,747 respectively.

Also today, the company reported profit before tax and exceptional items for the 12 months ended 31 March up to £11.5m from £11.4m the year before. Revenue were 17% higher at £326m, while second half profit before exceptionals jumped 69% to £8.3m.
