LONDON (ShareCast) - It's been a tough month for radio station group GCap Media, which reported underlying annual profits slumped by 35% to £14.4m last year in a tough advertising market with the dividend for the year cut from 9.25p to 4.6p.

GCap blamed the poor figures on a difficult advertising market, a reduction in the number of ads on Capital and the sales of two Century stations to Guardian Media, but chief executive Ralph Bernard is showing his faith by topping up his stake. He has bought 50,000 shares at 194p, taking his total holding up to a shade over 381,000 shares. The purchase is Bernard's second of the week. He bought over 6,000 on Tuesday.
