LONDON (ShareCast) - There has been some switching round at customised glass specialist Romag, with chairman John Kennair offloading almost £600,000 of shares to chief executive Lyn Miles.

The purchase of 300,000 shares at 193p each takes Miles’ holding to 900,000 shares, or 1.80% of the voting rights, while Kennair retains 5m shares, or 10% of the voting rights.

In what appears to be a bit of housekeeping, Kennair has also transferred 155,441 shares as gifts to family members.

In May, booming sales of Powerglaz, the company’s electricity-generating glass, offset lower sales of its traditional security glass products in the first half.

Pre-tax profits in the six months to March grew by 25% to £733,000, from £586,000, on sales of £6.9m, down from £7.5m.
