LONDON (ShareCast) - Satellite media and telecoms group Avanti Screenmedia rallied on news that it has signed a deal with Electric Health Media (EHM) and extended its contract with The Mall Corporation for a further 3 years.
The contract with EHM is expected to raise revenues of between £500,000 and £1m in the next 12 months.
Avanti also announced that its largest client, The Mall Corporation, has extended its existing 3 year contract for a further 3 years.
Industrial services and leisure products group Cosalt said it has agreed to buy Scottish marine services business GTC for up to £30m.
The group plans to raise around £25.5m at 330p per share by way of a placing and open offer in order to finance the deal.
Cosalt said it expects the acquisition to be earnings enhancing in first full year.
Housebuilder Eatonfield saw full-year pre-tax profit soar by 48% to £5.09m on turnover up 7% to £18.63m and said it is confident of its prospects for the coming financial year and beyond.
“Housing demand continues to be buoyant in the regional areas in which we operate and we anticipate a significant increase in house sales in 2007/8 as more of our development projects come to fruition,” said the group.
CeNeS Pharmaceutical said will maintain its focus on advancing each of its programmes, with a number of key milestones and deliverables expected in 2007/8.
"The company is well placed to deliver important partnering deals from its lead programme M6G and I remain confident that M6G will become a successful product in the treatment of post-operative pain," said the group.
Pre-tax losses for the first half increased to £4m from £3.6m before.
Photographic retailer Jessops was lower after reporting that its finance director Ian Harris will leave the group at the end of September.
Census and ballot counting firm DRS Data rose after announcing that half-year pre-tax profit trebled while turnover increased by 57%.
Shares in Servoca rose after the training and consultancy specialist said it is currently in discussions with a number of parties that may lead to an acquisition.
