LONDON (ShareCast) - Sylvania Resources said combined platinum group metal (PGM) production at the Millsell and Steelpoort sites is exceeding management’s internal ramp-up targets.
Combined production has recently surpassed the 1000 oz per month level, said the group, adding that plant performance is also improving as start-up issues are being systematically resolved.
“This is a great start to the project and this gives significant support to our target to exceed our base case forecast after all four of our new processing complexes are completed in Q4 calendar 2008,” said CEO Terry McConnachie.
“This is testament to the management, operating and engineering teams whose efforts in meeting the various challenges to date have been outstanding and I commend them for their efforts and achievements,” he added.
