D1 Oils founder considering offer

LONDON (ShareCast) - Shares in D1 Oils shot up after Karl Watkin, the founder and former chairman of the biodiesel producer, said he was considering his options on his shareholding, including making an offer for the group.

"Karl Watkin announces that he is at a very preliminary stage in evaluating all options with regard to his shareholding in the company, including an increase or decrease in his interest, and whether or not to make an offer for the company," he said in a brief statement.

Earlier in the month Watkin resigned as non-executive director of the group.
