LONDON (ShareCast) - Eric Gadsden, a non executive director at Ennstone, has spent £180,000 on shares in the building materials supplier.

Gadsden, also executive chairman of Michelmersh Brick Holdings and managing director of Buckinghamshire construction company WE Black, bought 600,000 shares at 30p each, taking his holding to 2.846m shares, or 0.73%. His latest purchase comes soon after he bought 400,000 shares, also for 30p each, on April 17.

Last month, Ennstone chairman Vaughan McLeod bought 200,000 shares in the group at 27.5p a go, saying he thought the shares were undervalued.

The company has lost over 40% of it value during the past year. In a trading update in January it said that strong performances from its UK and Polish divisions had helped offset challenging trading conditions in the US.
