LONDON (ShareCast) - Galliford Try’s chief executive Greg Fitzgerald and his wife spent nearly £300,000 on shares in the construction and housebuilding company today.
Fitzgerald took 400,000 shares at 49.5p each and his wife Judith took 200,000 at the same price.
They now hold a combined total of just under 3.15m shares, or around 0.84% of the company.
Shares in Galliford have tumbled over the past year amid difficult market conditions. In September last year, Fitzgerald paid 149.5p a go – more than three times the price he paid in today's purchase – for 133,000 shares.
He became chief executive of the company in July 2003, having been manager of the housebuilding division since 2003.
