LONDON (ShareCast) - Electrical components maker Laird said it has made a strong start to the year, with trading in line with expectations.
In the three months to 31 March, revenue from continuing operations grew by 35% compared with the same period in 2007.
Organic revenue growth in the quarter was towards the top end of the group’s expectations of 15% to 20% growth in the medium term, at constant currency, with particularly strong growth in antennae modules and actuation devices.
“Overall, we continue to benefit from strong demand for our products and solutions, and from programme awards from our major customers,” said chairman Nigel Keen.
“We expect to make further good progress in 2008,” he added.
