LONDON (ShareCast) - Business Post is a growth stock that has not yet reached its potential. For investors, the shares clearly trade at a discount and despite the impressive gains made yesterday, there is still some room left for improvement. Buy, recommends the Independent.
The Times says it has been a solid holder of Experian on the strength of its market position – No 1 in the UK and No 3 in the US – and the belief that the credit crunch could even stimulate demand for its services. With little sign of that boost and with the shares, at 397p, trading at 14 times current-year earnings, it is time to bale out. Sell.
There is the prospect of a bid for Paragon as buyers are attracted to the income stream and its proven expertise on buy-to-let, a market that can not be in the doldrums forever. The selling is overdone. Buy, says the Telegraph.
Thus Group's annual results impressed the analysts. At Cazenove they described the figures as "solid". They also think that the stock looks cheap, saying that with an EV to Ebitda of 3.5 times to next March, the shares trade at a discount to Kcom and Colt, at 5.2 times and 4.8 times respectively. They argue that the stock will outperform the market. Buy.
Discounting remains high – revenue growth is trailing volumes – and net debt of £400 million is more than half Britvic’s stock market value. Further, the 14 per cent stake held by Permira still overhangs the shares. However, at 329½p, or 12 times next year’s earnings, offering a 4 per cent yield, the shares are reasonably priced. Buy, says the Times.
Although Great Portland shares have fallen to 435p to trade on 39 times forecast earnings, the Telegraph repeats its hold rating and advise investors to hang on. The Times says at 435p, shares in GPE trade at a 25 per cent discount to NAV and yield 2.7 per cent. Worth holding on. The Independent also says hold.
