LONDON (ShareCast) - Sir Christopher Bland and Rick Haythornthwaite, non-executive directors at the real estate giant Land Securities, have taken shares in the company, it announced today.
Sir Christopher, the former chief executive of BT, bought 10,000 shares for 1,462p each, or a total of £146,200. Haythornthwaite took 5,000 shares, paying £14.55 a time, or £72,750 all-in-all.
Neither director had any shares before the purchase.
Shares in Land Securities, have slumped by over a quarter in the past year in line with a declining real estate market.
Last week, it reported a swing into pre-tax losses in the year to March 31 but said it was well positioned in the current market.
