LONDON (ShareCast) - Qinetiq trades at between an 8pc and 13pc discount to its UK defence peers which appears overdone given strong revenue growth and the US focus. Time to buy, reports the Telegraph.
The Government and Network Rail have announced big increases in rail spending over the next few years, which can only bode well for Jarvis. Chief executive, Richard Entwistle, refuses to discuss talk of a takeover but the fact that others are now interested should encourage buyers. Buy, says the Independent.
Electrocomponents’s strong international growth means its home market is less important than before: it now accounts for 40 per cent of sales against more than half two years ago. The problem remains that it carries high fixed costs, meaning that faltering demand, especially from R&D customers, would put profits under pressure. Keep away, says the Times. Independent says hold.
The Independent says do keep an eye on Topps Tiles. Sell.
Compared with the rest of the sector, Intermediate Capital has fared well and priced at 12.3 times forward earnings, still looks attractive. Buy, says the Telegraph. The Times says its shares have run far enough for now. Hold.
With Burberry shares having outperformed the FTSE all-share by 16 per cent over the past three months, there will be better times to buy. Hold, says the Times.
