Superglass hit by slow UK

LONDON (ShareCast) - Insulation group Superglass has warned profits this year will be below last time due to lower activity in the UK.

Superglass said that the UK's carbon reduction programme has not yet gained the momentum it expected, resulting in reduced activity in the UK. Superglass has increased penetration into the European market, but not by enough to offset current slippage in the UK.

Although, the rise in energy costs continues to be a concern it will also increase the immediate demand for high levels of insulation, Superglass added.
