LONDON (ShareCast) - NXT rallied as the flat-panel speaker technology company announced its move into the high definition liquid crystal display television market.

The 52” ViewSonic 5230p is the first commercially available TV to be fitted with NXT’s balanced radiator (BR) technology.

The TV, which boasts a minimalist design which, through the use of NXT’s technology, is able to eschew the use of large speaker grilles, goes on sale in North America this month with a suggested retail price of $3,100.

Investors also switched on to IT services provider Computacenter following last week’s largely positive update on the first half, with revenue up around 8%.

The organic growth rate is the strongest “for a number of years”, said the group as an “encouraging” second quarter followed a “particularly tough” first six weeks.
contract successes “bodes well for the second half”, while trading in Germany has been consistent throughout the first half of 2008.
