Broker snap: Outlook still gloomy for Rank

LONDON (ShareCast) - Daniel Stewart has downgraded its rating on Rank to ‘sell’ from ‘hold’ in light of weak trading in the first half and the gloomy outlook for the bingo hall operator.

“The weak outlook and highly problematic fiscal and legislative issues facing the group drive our bearish view,” the broker said. “The one caveat to our sell stance and a deserved share decline would be continued stake building by shareholder Guoco.”

Daniel Stewart has a 55p target price on Rank.
