LONDON (ShareCast) - Tony Hales, chairman of Workspace, showed his continued faith in the London-focused office accommodation provider despite falls in its share price lately, spending £65,000 on shares.

He bought 50,000 shares at 130p a time and now has 200,000, or about 0.1% of the company.

Workspace has suffered in line with the downturn in the property market and has seen its share price fall by more than 60% over the past year.

Back in June, Hales shelled out £83,100 for 50,000 shares, paying 166.2p a time.

In March he took 10,000 shares, forking out 265.5p for each one, more than double the price he paid today.

Hales, 60, joined the board of Workspace in November 2002, becoming chairman in December.
