LONDON (ShareCast) - TV shopping specialist Ideal Shopping Direct slumped into a loss of £1.2m (£1.2m profit)in the six months to June, though it expects an improved second half.
Our first half results, however, reflect the well publicised consumer downturn, which has undoubtedly impacted our customer base, noticeably in sales of Homewares and Fashion, it said adding the first 10 weeks of the second half have seen sales 6% ahead of last year, and at a higher margin. Sales inteh first half rose to £47.5m from £46.3m.
