LONDON (ShareCast) - Clapham House Group, the restaurant chain, has seen very few dealings in the shares by its directors since floating three years ago.

However restrictions on share sales by the directors have now been lifted and its chairman and chief executive have both taken advantage.

Paul Campbell, chief executive of Clapham House, exercised 350,000 share options and sold the lot at a price of 283p per share, netting £990,000. He also sold a further 150,000 shares, which were previously restricted, at the same price for £424,500.

Meanwhile David Page, former PizzaExpress boss and executive chairman of Clapham House, also sold 150,000 shares, which were previously restricted, at 283p per share.

The sales, which leave Campbell with a stake of 114,000 and Page with a holding of 1.13m, come as shares in Clapham House hit record highs following last month’s first half results.
