“Barrick Gold Corp, the world's largest gold miner, is replacing President and Chief Executive Aaron Regent with longtime finance chief Jamie Sokalsky, a surprise move aimed at bolstering its share-price performance. The Toronto-based gold miner also said Wednesday that founder Peter Munk, who built the company through a series of mining acquisitions, would now share his role as company chairman with director John Thornton,” the Wall Street Journal writes.
