The market spotlight will shift back towards Asia this week, with Chinese foreign trade data for October due out on Wednesday, followed by fresh figures on the rate of growth of credit in Asia's largest economy on Friday.

In parallel, from Tuesday onwards investors will be waiting on a Chinese central bank report on the current level of the country's foreign exchange reserves.

Investors in Japanese assets will also have a lot to contend with, with separate reports on foreign trade, the current account balance and machinery orders all set for release on Wednesday, followed by the latest numbers on M2 money supply on Thursday.

Back in the UK, the week's main release won't come until Friday, when ONS will publish its latest reading on British industrial and manufacturing production in the month of September, alongside the latest foreign trade data.

Stateside, Fed chair Janet Yellen is scheduled to speak on Monday, with the latest quarterly Senior Loan Officer survey results also due out.

Otherwise, the week's main US data point should be the University of Michigan's preliminary reading on consumer confidence for November, on Friday.

Meanwhile, in the euro area, the European Commission will publish its fall forecasts on Wednesday.

Down Under, the Reserve Bank of Australia is due to decided on interest rates come Tuesday.

To take note of, Americans will observe Armistice Day on Friday as a result of which federal government offices will remain closed.
