Italian industrial sales and orders fall back in September
Italian industrial sales and orders in the euro area's third-largest economy shrank in September.
In seasonally-adjusted terms, orders fell by 3.9% on the month, led by a 5.8% drop in domestic ones and a 1.4% retreat in those from overseas, according to ISTAT.
Sales were also lower, slipping by 1.2%, with those to the domestic market down by 1.3% on the month and those made to foreign buyers off by 1.2%.
Versus the same month one year ago, sales grew by 5.2%.
