Traffic grew to 11.8m customers from 10.6m in June last year, while the load factor - which gauges how full the flights are - increased to 96% from 94%.
On a rolling 12-month basis, traffic was up 13% to 123.8m.
Chief marketing officer Kenny Jacobs, attributed the jump in passenger numbers and load factor to the company's 'Always Getting Better' customer experience programme.
Back in May, the airline said it had made a net record profit of €1.32bn for 2016 despite cutting fares.
